First Step for Injured Workers 

If you sustain a work related injury, it is important to report the injury to the employer as soon as possible.

  • An injured employee is required to notify the employer of an injury no later than the 30th day after the date on which the injury occurs. We recommend the employer be notified of an accident/injury as soon as it occurs.
  • An injured employee is also required to file a written claim for compensation within one year after the date an accident occurs.

Once our company receives written notice of an injury, the injured employee will be contacted by one of our adjusting staff if lost time from work is involved. The point of contact will be with the assigned adjuster. It is important to keep the adjuster apprised of your medical status and any change in employment.
